JURY COMMENTS
The concept of blending Jeju Island's volcanic terrain into the design is impressively imaginative. The incorporation of oreum-inspired shapes and the "olle" pathway, alongside the inventive sensory room featuring gabion structures and basalt elements, showcases a remarkable level of creativity. The project adeptly combines natural features with contemporary design principles.
The design shines in creating immersive sensory experiences. The sensory room offers dynamic interactions with nature—light filters through skylights, wind and basalt provide tactile sensations, and aromatic basalt stones enhance the atmosphere with pleasant scents. The use of gabion structures not only serves aesthetic purposes but also contributes to environmental sustainability.
The thoughtful division of space into areas for living, meditation, multimedia, and sensory experiences seamlessly integrates with the natural landscape. Practical elements, like temperature regulation through gabion structures, further enhance the functionality of the space. Aesthetically, the design draws from the natural curves of the oreum and the volcanic characteristics of Jeju Island, making it visually striking.
Overall, the design effectively communicates its visual and aesthetic qualities. The presentation is clear and well-organized, vividly portraying how the house integrates with the landscape and enhances sensory experiences.

JURY COMMENTS
The concept of integrating a "six-sense experience" into the design is quite imaginative. The thoughtful use of natural elements, like lavender for its soothing aroma and natural fibers for their tactile comfort, is impressive. These choices not only enrich the sensory experience but also enhance the design's overall effectiveness.
The inclusion of a meditation space is a nice touch, focusing on inner tranquility and adding depth to the sensory experience. The layout thoughtfully incorporates various functional areas, such as a dining space with skylights, a meditation room, and a multimedia area. Each space is purposefully designed, balancing sensory engagement with practical usability.
The design's aesthetic appeal is striking, featuring expansive sea views, large glass windows, and a palette of natural materials and colors. This approach fosters a seamless connection with the outside landscape, enhancing visual enjoyment.
Overall, the presentation is clear and well-organized, effectively highlighting the design's key features and sensory elements. The narrative successfully conveys the project's goals and execution.

JURY COMMENTS
The design's introspective approach to architecture, emphasizing internal experience over external visibility, is quite inventive. The incorporation of Japanese design concepts to define various areas of the house, with the central "light impluvium" serving as a focal point for multiple activities, is both unique and innovative. The use of vertical space without doors showcases a high level of creativity, enhancing the fluidity of movement throughout the home.
The design's strength lies in its ability to integrate sensory experiences, focusing on the body's interaction with stimuli. The "light impluvium" not only invites sky gazing and heliotherapy but also enriches food tasting experiences, effectively engaging multiple senses. Practical considerations are also well addressed, with a thoughtful approach to spatial flow and the absence of doors facilitating seamless movement. The vertical arrangement of spaces and the inclusion of natural elements like light and temperature reflect a well-considered functional plan.

The use of cutting-edge materials like thermochromic smart glass and light-emitting concrete is a standout. What’s especially noteworthy is how it integrates different sensory experiences—like the calming effect of water features and the element of surprise through varied ceiling heights. It truly considers all five senses, from the kitchen garden that adds delightful smells, to the tranquil site that soothes the ears, and the clever geometric openings that play with light and shadow for visual interest. JURY COMMENTS
The concept of using light and sound to create an ethereal living space is both creative and unique. Incorporating bio-engineered wood with different opacities adds a fresh twist to the design. The way the design immerses you in sensory experiences—through light, sound, and wind—is truly innovative. The sensory room and the careful placement of the house to interact with natural elements show a strong focus on integrating sensory experiences. The gradient of materials that creates illusions and the touch-activated artificial light enhance the overall sensory impact. The house is well-organized, with distinct indoor and outdoor spaces like living and dining areas, bedrooms, an office, a sensory room, and garden areas. Its configuration, inspired by kibbutz principles, suggests a practical and communal approach to living.
